The U.S. Secret Service National Threat Assessment Center, in partnership with the Center for Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS), released a new resource that focuses on how education practitioners can best align behavioral threat assessment and management (BTAM) programs alongside multi-tiered systems of support (MTSS) in K-12 schools. The publication includes a description of the critical features of BTAM and best practices for BTAM implementation, essential elements of PBIS, and considerations for aligning and integrating BTAM and the MTSS/PBIS framework.
