When disaster strikes, the Georgia Emergency Management and Homeland Security Agency (GEMA/HS) works with local, state and federal partners to coordinate efforts throughout the preparedness, response and recovery process. Georgia law directs GEMA/HS to provide school safety training and technical assistance to the education, emergency management, and public safety communities of Georgia.
